Orange Cake

Good morning!
How are you? Feeling like eating a cake? What about an orange cake? If so, this one is for you. It's light, moist, and you can not stop eating, actually it is addictive. It's from a Portuguese Chef called José Avillez taken from one of his books.
Enjoy!

What's this?

I must apologize. Truly, I do.
Why do I begin the post like this? Look at the title, can you guess? No? Yes? Well, you guessed it, or not, the reason is the fact that I have no idea of what kind of tart this is. However I know it's chocolate and orange. Relieve. Two flavors you know work great together.

So, having the general knowledge, it's a chocolate and orange frosting, the middle, I think, it's a chocolate mixture, and the base is only crumbles of digestive cookies glued together with the help of butter.

I leave you with the pics, recipe is a no no, since I don't remember where it is from.

Chocolate Lava Cake

Hello people! How do you do today? What about your week?

I must say, this one is 5*. It is the epitome of decadency. The recipe is from the blog in the mood for food, and you can find it by clinking here. In my case the time I left it cooking in the oven was 10 to 12 minutes. But it all depends on your oven and how runny you would like your cake.

As you can tell, there are candels in the cake, because it was the anniversary of my father and since I didn't have the time to do an elaborate cake I went for this one. It is a quick fix!

Strawberry Cheesecake

strawberry cheesecake

A long time ago I did a cheesecake, in this case, a strawberry one. I will leave you with only the pictures, since I can't recall the recipe.

NYE Feast

Cinnamon, sugar and maria biscuit coated chocolate balls

First of all Happy New Year! Let 2015 begin!

It has been too long since we post something in here.
To tell the truth, we sometimes forget we have this blog up and running. The fact that it doesn't have followers nor people seeing it does not count as an excuse for the lack of posts.
We understand there are a ton of blogs about food, desserts, in fact, about almost everything. The only way to make this one good and liked by others is to actually have the time to think about the layout, design, and commit to it. It is exactly what we haven't been doing. And we need to change that.

So, the new priorities are:
- We decide to post only in English, unless we have the time to translate it to Portuguese. It is time consuming and as we are full time students we just don't have the luxury to spend it;
- A new layout and design is being made, don't know when it will happen, but keep waiting (hopefully not for ever);
- We will try to post at least once a week;
- We put more effort in our pictures, since they lack quality and look dull.

So as you can see, there will be lots of changes around here, we pray. For the time being we leave you with some photos of New Years Eve, and all it's desserts.

We are back, ok, maybe

Chocolate and orange layered cake with orange frosting

Hello everyone,

We have been away for quite some time and we apologize for that. We do a lot of baking, but sometimes we forget the blog we own and end up not taking pictures. We have to say taking nice photos takes time, find good locations in the house, preparing a good background and editing. Affording such things would be great, but as you all know, we are in college and it's hard and time consuming.
For now we leave you with pretty bad pictures of baking goods (must of it are birthday cakes) since, when we bake, we don´t have a nice camera with us (Leonor - Mine broke, imagine that, and my sweet sister is not around when I need her camera).

Red Velvet Cupcakes with Cheese Frosting
